Students ensure others can enjoy camp
Students at Lord Baden-Powell Elementary School in the Magnolia School District enjoyed attending their first Outdoor Science School, but realized one of their classmates in a wheelchair struggled with the trails.
The students came home and decided to raise money to buy an all-terrain wheelchair so the student could have better access to the camp experience. They successfully raised $2,000 by selling T-shirts and “Kindness Grams.”
They purchased the all-terrain wheelchair and decided to donate it to the Outdoor Science School so that any student with a wheelchair could also use it to experience the best trip possible. Congratulations to these students who gave so much of themselves to others.
